Most recalls are either related to safety or emissions. Both safety recalls, and emissions recalls are essential and need to be addressed as soon as possible. However, their severity differs. If there is a safety recall for your vehicle, it means that there may be a defect that makes operating your vehicle less safe. On the other hand, an emissions recall means that your vehicle may not be in compliance with emissions standards, and it needs to be fixed to come back into compliance. There may be other defects that are subject to recall, as well.
