    First BMW i Store Opens in London

    New BMW i3 Concept and BMW i Pedelec Concept

    The opening of the new BMW i Store in the heart of London underscores the fact that customer needs are changing and that sustainable mobility is becoming an increasingly important part of the modern urban lifestyle. London was chosen as the venue for the first BMW i store because of its importance as Europe's leading megacity and its influence as a global trend-setter. London, like many other cities around the world, faces environmental and traffic congestion challenges that require innovative and sustainable mobility solutions.
        To coincide with the opening of the store, BMW presented the BMW i3 Concept with a new interior colour and materials concept. Based on the original concept car which premiered at last year's Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA), the BMW i3 Concept is now influenced even more heavily by the "next premium" approach, and in so doing trains the spotlight squarely on the issue of sustainability.

    The Villa d'Este on the shores of Lake Como in Italy is a most beautiful and exclusive place. Each year it hosts the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este to celebrate the skills and craftsmanship of the motor industry's best "carrozzeria" - coachbuilders in English - and a mouth-watering display of classic handmade motor cars is the result. BMW regularly sponsors the event and shows off a vintage car from its collection. 
        This year, however, they pulled off something completely unexpected, a spectacular brand new, one-off, handmade vehicle made in collaboration with Milan's Zagato workshop.It's quite unusual for a large volume car manufacturer to indulge in this sort of "vanity" project. Indeed, 1978 was the last time BMW worked with an Italian outside design house (the M1 supercar).



    BMW i Concept is going on Tour

    The Born Electric Tour. One Year. Seven Cities.

    Over the next 12 months BMW i is going on tour to Rome, Dusseldorf, Tokyo, New York, London, Paris and Shanghai. The tour starts in Rome on the 21st to 23rd of June at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni. The BMW i is based on changing the way we think about premium luxury and mobility.

    New 2013 BMW 7 Series

    New 2013 BMW 7 Series raises the bar yet again...

    The New 2013 BMW 7 Series is luxurious and sleep but get behind the wheel and the performance will "wow" you. The power train improvements are only a fraction of the enhancements BMW has made. The 7 Series also features a new grille and front fascia, and can be ordered with adaptive LED headlamps.

    Every 7 Series model now features an intelligent 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission that offers reduced fuel consumption and emissions. Auto Start-Stop, brake energy regeneration and second-generation driving dynamic control with Eco Pro mode that help you save fuel. On the inside, customers have the option of a Bang & Olufsen High-End Surround Sound System with 16 speakers and digital signal processing, as well as a Rear Seat Entertainment package that now includes an iDrive controller and two 9.2-inch screens.

    The New 2013 7 Series arrives in US BMW center showrooms in late summer 2012, except for the ActiveHybrid 7 which arrives in early fall.
